Daniel González / D.G (*Buenos Aires 1963, lives and works in Berlin)
He studied chemistry and fashion design in Argentina.
The investigation of Daniel González / D.G. is based on the politics of feeling, is the synthesis of a shouting, excessive, noisy metropolis made of chaotic territories, stories soaked in life and cultures coming together.
It is a journey into desire and categories that creates synergies with music and video-culture. Every project is a diary of strange and un-tired get-togethers, passions and interior energies, personal references, collective tensions. Fight for one’s dreams as sign of independence. In the D.G. – Clothes Project frame, González’s performances are actions that militarise space and city with energy and aesthetical eclecticism.
For every show, the artist conceives a clothes collection of unique pieces, sews banner-paintings and post-cards as meta-advertisement for the event.
In 1982, he conceives Pisquits Sunwear, a provocative clothes collection of limited edition, and puts on the first catwalk-show in a concrete factory having transsexuals as models.
Daniel González / D.G. – Clothes Project
My performances are energetic and have a strong impact on the audience. They are a rebellion through beauty to gain space of personal freedom, turning power up-side down and transforming the space into a ritual and the objects to be worn into action vehicles.

*All clothes are unique pieces with rather strong ethical stories, a sort of democratic conscience that one wears while listening the noise of civil militancy, street competition, interior rebellion looking at the world growing.
GM
*A SMALL army of ‘female warriors’ ready to take streets, spaces, hotel rooms of Bolonia; ready for anything to be able to affirm their own femininity and provoke the audience.
