Born in Basrah (Iraq) in 1955. Resident in Switzerland.
Al Fadhil (art name), an artist with pluridisciplinary interests (painting installation, photography, performance, video art), was born in Basrah Iraq, in 1955. He currently residence in Lugano (Switzerland).
He studied at the Institute of Fine Art in Baghdad and in the Academy of Fine Art in Florence Italy.
The artist participated to many international art events and workshop residencies:
Worked at the “Cité Internationale des Arts” , Paris in 2000 2004 and 2005, Dubai Art Symposium 2004, Taipei Art University 2005.
He has staged exhibitions at various venues in Europe and beyond (Bonndorf Museum, 2000 (D), Sharjah Biennale 2003 (UAE), Venice Biennale, performance “Off “ 2003 (I); Rome University Museum MLAC 2004(I), Emergency Biennale, Palais de Tokyo, Paris 2005 (F).
