Giuliana Cuneaz was born in Aosta in 1959. She is living and working in Milan. Graduated to the Turin Fine Arts Academy, she created her first video experimentations as from the beginning of the 90 years. During the same period, she exhibited in some Italian and international public and private spaces. She took a part to the Video-forms Festival in 1991, 1993 and 1996.

In 1994, she participated to the Sao Paulo Biennial in Brazil and, in 1996, to the Pirano Obalne Galery in Slovenia. In 2002, she exhibited in the Bucharest Contemporaneous Art Museum. In Italy, she exhibited in 1995 in the Trieste Revoltella Museum and, in 2000 in the Prato Pecci Museum as well as in the Aosta Tour du Lépreux Museum. In 2001, she had two shows in the Catania Ursino Castle as well as in the Workshop Museum of Contemporaneous Arts in the Rome Universita della Sapienza. In 2002, she took a part at Exit in the Turin Sandretto Re Rebaugengo Fundation. In 2003, she had two shows in the Berlin Play Gallery and Milan B & D Gallery. Always in 2003, she exhibited a video-installation in the field of the Italian Cinema Festival in Annecy. In the same year,  she represented also Italy in the Annecy Shift exhibition where 9 European artists were present.

In 2004, she will participate to the Rome Quadrennial exhibition.
