I trace a subtle red
thread that connects old shaman rites, Dionysus cults, voodoo,
medieval Sabbath up to the metropolitan rave.
I show these folks of young “new visionaries” filmed and photographed
during the big meetings of collective drunkenness of the rave party.
This trip starts in a chaotic atmosphere technologically rebuilt and rhythmically
ordered owing to the use of gaudy colours and obsessive sounds to penetrate the
fictitious dimension of the trance. I’am mainly interested to leave the
aware world, this subsequent pass towards the numberless inner dimensions. |
